VeChain, the layer one blockchain that focuses on sustainability and logistics, has entered into a partnership agreement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The world-renowned mixed martial art organization will integrate the network into a series live events and media channels. VeChain assets will be unveiled at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Saturday, June 11.
VeChain, according to the official announcement is the first ever base blockchain that receives an “unprecedented” integration into UFC assets. VeChain will have a range of “meaningful brand visibility” during UFC’s major events. The two will also collaborate on a variety custom and original content featuring UFC athletes and talent. VeChain will be the official owner of UFC’s fighter rankings titles for the duration of the multi-year deal.
“The integration also gives VeChain strong associations with one of UFC’s most important components — the fighter rankings.”
Sunny Lu, co-founder and CEO, VeChain, saw the new partnership as a historic moment for the company, considering that UFC could reach 900 million viewers from 175 countries. According to a source, Paul Asencio, Senior VP/Global Partnerships at UFC, sponsorship revenues have increased 30% since last year’s announcement of a partnership with CryptoCom. UFC president Dana White described the crypto company as “the greatest partner” it has ever had. UFC announced in April that it would pay Bitcoin bonuses to UFC fighters through CryptoCom.
