The US Securities and Exchange Commission gave Volt Equity’s Volt Bitcoin Revolution ETF the green light just four months after it was submitted. Investors will have the opportunity to invest in companies that are directly exposed to Bitcoin, such as MicroStrategy.
According to a recent filing, Volt Equity, a California-based company, filed documents with the Commission to create a new type of exchange-traded fund that has indirect exposure to BTC. The product will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange Arca with the ticker symbol BTCR. The SEC has rejected or delayed every application so far. Canada and Brazil, however, have approved a few Bitcoin-related ETFs. Most of these have enjoyed impressive first months in terms AUM.
