SlowMist, a blockchain security company, has identified many crypto addresses that fell victim to a scam on Terra Network since April 12th. According to reports, the scammer has collected $4.31M in assets as of writing.
SlowMist explained on Twitter that $4.31 million worth of assets was maliciously transferred from 52 addresses to the suspect. Once users accessed the links, their domain names changed. The next screen prompted them to connect their wallets and provide their seed phrases. These are human-readable versions of private keys that allow users to send money from their associated blockchain addresses. MetaMask warned Apple users on Sunday about possible phishing scams after the wallet was integrated with Apple Pay. This means that scammers could phish users’ iCloud credentials to steal their crypto funds.
