Phantom, one of the most popular Solana wallets announced the official launch on Android of its app. This latest development comes after the launch of its iOS mobile application earlier in 2022.
Phantom announced that its mobile app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. This was revealed in a Twitter thread on Monday, April 18, 2022. They can now send, receive and swap crypto and non-fungible tokens from any Android phone.
Phantom also stated that the wallet’s mobile version would be launched in 2021. In December, Brandon Millman, co-founder, and CEO of Phantom, stated that the team is currently focusing on the mobile app. However, plans are to add more NFT-specific features such as the ability to buy and sell NFTs. This comes just a few months after the Solana-based cryptocurrency wallet launched its iOS mobile app in Feb 2022. Phantom was also awarded unicorn status by investors Paradigm and Andreessen Horowitz as well as Variant and Jump Capital. The blog post said that new features related to NFTs might be available in the coming months.
