Today Sandeep Nailwal (co-founder of Polygon) revealed that India’s CryptoRelief would send 100 million USDC to Vitalik Buterin from his last year SHIB donation.
Vitalik Buterin donated 50 Trillion SHIB tokens to India Covid Relief Fund last May.
Nailwal shared their reasons for sending $100 million back to Buterin via Twitter.
Vitalik, a non-Indian, can accomplish it faster by being able make quicker decisions and deploy to projects that have high risk but high rewards.
The fund has deployed 70 million USDC so far and still has 302 million USDC in reserve. Buterin also replied to the thread, revealing that he co-founded a new organization in order to manage these funds. He also provided an address so that anyone could follow the funds. CryptoRelief sent $100m of the $SHIBA money back to him. These funds will be deployed by me personally with the assistance of science advisors. This will complement CryptoRelief’s excellent work with higher-risk, higher-reward covid science projects and relief projects around the world. https://t.co/xvHxzwwdn8
